Two-time Olympic champion Sushil Kumar arrest in Delhi.

Wrestler Sushil Kumar on Tuesday (18/05/2021) filed an anticipatory bail application at Rohini court in which he stated the investigation against him was biased, and the allegations made to injure his reputation.

Failing to apprehend the two-time Olympic champion, on 17/05/2021 Monday Delhi Police announced an amount of 1 lakh for information leading to Kumar’s arrest and Rs 50,000 on his associated nine others in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old former junior national wrestling champion Sagar Rana,

“We have announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to his arrest of Sushil and Rs 50,000 on Ajay,” - DCP (north-west) Usha Rangrani.

A Delhi court on Friday (15/05/2021) issued non-bailable warrants against Sushil Kumar and nine others in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old former junior w Sagar Rana.

The Delhi Police has filed an FIR in the case under sections 302 (murder), 308 (cupable homicide), 365 (kidnapping), 325 (causing grievous hurt), 323 (voluntarily casuing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 506 (criminal intimidation). It has also been registered under 188 (Disobedience to order by public servant), 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease), 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and various sections under the Arms Act.
